An optimal fit of helmet and clothing is important when riding a motorcycle. In order for the clothing to fit you well, you should pay attention to the size tables of the manufacturers:
- body height is measured from crown to sole (without shoes)
- Breast size at the strongest point of the breast
- measure the waist circumference with a loosely applied tape measure
- the stride length is equal to the inside length of the leg from the stride point to the sole of the foot
- arm length is the outer length of the arm from the shoulder point to the wrist
- Glove sizes: place the tape measure at the level of the knuckles around your hand
- helmet size: you determine the suitable helmet size with the head circumference in height of the forehead
What else to consider when wearing helmets:
- no tape measure at hand? Take a thread or a cord and compare the length with the metre rule
- test the new helmet always with a balaclava - helmets worn without balaclava are excluded from exchange for hygienic reasons!
- when the helmet is on, shake your head - the helmet must not slip
- if you wear glasses, test the helmet with glasses
